Digital Curation and International Justice
This Zoom webinar features Shelley Lightburn, a Digital Curation alumna who is Head of Archives at the International Court of Justice in the Hague. The increasing importance of digital evidence has brought scrutiny to media such as email and text messages, as well as digital curation techniques such as emulation and 3d scanning. Lightburn will discuss why the Internet era has transformed international criminal tribunals, how standards of "original" evidence have changed, and what strategies might help small institutions start digital preservation programs.
