I was thinking biographically. Looking at great debaters. Lincoln is obvious.
a lot of us are doing civic education, where there are lots of example of public debates over new initiatives
Establishment of National Parks
How about the implementation of the Peace Corps as a means of cultural exchange. Can that be seen as a step towards diplomacy? Or is that too much of a stretch?
Side note, the Boston Globe has some AMAZING historical news articles about the molasses flood
I like thinking about the ways that a success for one side might be considered a failure for the other side
