The guidance for contact tracing for quick service restaurants is very challenging. Will there be any additional guidance for different types of on-premise dining and is there a time line for when that restriction might be lifted?
Scott Cowger
32:35
Is there sample language for our out-of-state guests to sign to attest that they have completed their 14-day self quarantine?
Olga Oros
34:00
Dear Greg, Will the liquor license fee be reduced this year?
Denise Mallett
34:50
Can you share any new guidance on PPP or other SBA loans and possibly additional guidance or changes for restaurants?
Liz Bynarowicz
35:22
Please explain the self quarantine...can an out of state guest self quarantine in their own state then visit maine lodging?
Jennifer Boutin
35:33
Hi Denise, we won't be talking about PPP today but have an entire webinar on Thursday for PPP. :-)
Shifra Strum
37:10
fyi NJ & MD beaches are open. we might lose reservation in future years for those who are happy with vacations in NJ & MD beaches and need not come/return to ME.
therese bagnardi
37:44
Any info on movie theatres opening?
Ted Hugger
37:56
Greg, has there been any talk about HM and other associations filing a lawsuit against the State?
John and Cynthia WISSOCKI
38:09
if an out of state traveler says they self quarantined in their state, do they still have to 14 day quarantine if they stay at a vacation rental in Maine?
Duncan Hamilton
38:17
Campgrounds and RV parks can now open this Friday, following checklist guidelines, to Maine residents only.

Ted Hugger
40:27
And the difference between my hotel and a campground is...
Justin Steele
41:18
Greg, how is HM balancing having so many member organizations whose opinions may drastically differ on the best way forward? It sounds like a lot of pressure is going into removing restrictions (quarantine, etc) wholesale rather than finding an ideal balance to keep us open for good when we do get to.
Martha Minkel
41:27
We are still awaiting guidelines for Sporting/Rec Camps, and idea when they will be made available?
Jane Bickford
42:01
To Liz, John and Cynthia - as written now, during the month of June, people must quarantine for 14 days upon arrival BEFORE checking in to a hotel/rental. Quarantining in home state is not an option. Starting in July, people can arrive at a hotel/rental in ME and then start their 14 day quarantine.
Olga Oros
42:19
What do you suggest for a 49 passenger tour boat operating in June? - Damariscotta River Cruises
Jen Peters
43:54
Sunrise County Economic Council has scholarship funds for Washington County residents who need training (such as ServSafe) to get a job or advance in their career. The scholarship is up to $500 toward tuition for training that is not covered by general financial aid. http://sunrisecounty.org/workforcedevelopment/sunrise-scholarship-fund/

Jennifer Wales
50:18
Do vacation rental homes need to sign off on complying with Maine requirements to open to hosting?
Nancy Clark
50:40
I need realistic advice about operating a B&B going forward. Can't change my business.
Kathy Powell
51:05
I have July and August reservations too! Do I need to cancel these?
Tim Allen
51:42
Our July and August reservations are waiting patiently for more information to come out
Marian Chioffi
52:12
My July and August reservations are also waiting and hoping
rondi nelson
52:35
totally aside to this - is anyone interested in starting a FB group so all of us in similar industries can connect and plan? I asked HM about this last week and they dont have any platform for us to interact. i personally would find it helpful - i’m on the hospitality side.
Robyn Deveney
52:38
Sorry to join late, eagerly awaiting guidelines for sporting camps.
Kathy Powell
53:13
Why can't they just require a test vs. a two week quarantine??!! Have their certificate showing it was done and move on....
Nancy Clark
53:14
Randi - I would join the group.
Ted Hugger
53:28
Randi - I would join, too
John and Cynthia WISSOCKI

Robyn Deveney

April Elaine Powell
55:17
I would be happy to start a FB page to start the discussion. I am a Commercial Interior Designer in the Hospitality and Retail sectors.
Kathy Powell
55:44
I need a more local FB group for B&B owners
Marian Chioffi
56:16
I would join that too we have a small seasonal place on Monhegan
Nancy Clark
58:26
its not a win Shannon if we just survive. We need to thrive in order to continue. I'm not sure we will have a b&b by September if we can't have paying guests.
Marian Chioffi
59:19
I agree with Nancy -- I'm worried we won't have a business by September.
Ted Hugger
59:23
I agree with Nancy Clark.
Paul Markosian
59:33
There is an existing Facebook group called Restaurant Workers of Maine - PRIVATE, formed to advocate restoration of the tip credit after the minimum wage law was passed. Now the members of the group are very active and helpful with discussions around COVID. I recommend that all restaurant owners and workers in the state ask to join.
rondi nelson
59:53
I just set a group up thinking quickly - 2020 HOSTING IN MAINE.
Ted Hugger
01:00:00
Augusta has no clue about how deadly their actions and inactions are. Bartering isn't going to help...
Robyn Deveney
01:01:20
Make that decision…isn’t it required?
Paul Markosian
01:02:04
I also recommend forming or looking to join a local group for businesses in your industry. Something that is not state-wide but instead focused on your town, city, or region.
John and Cynthia WISSOCKI
01:08:21
Jennifer, did you say this is being recorded and you are emailing it to participants later? I have another meeting to go to.

Marian Chioffi
01:11:41
What about B&B where the bathrooms are shared?
Gretchen Wilson
01:11:46
The Ellsworth Chamber recommends you put individual books and brochures in each room. We are also going to be putting packets together for visitors at our office
rondi nelson
01:12:01
i just set up a private group on FB 2020 HOSTING IN MAINE.
Nancy Clark
01:12:58
we don't have the money to provide personal safety kits....can't even buy most of what you suggest.
Catherine Bilodeau
01:13:19
Where can we get reasonably priced masks, wipes, etc in bulk to give away?
Gwen Perry
01:14:31
The Maine Manufacturing Extension Partnership has put together a list of makers/manufacturers in Maine that have pivoted to production of sanitizer and also PPE: https://pages.mainemep.org/; you may also contact them at contact@mainemep.org
Justin Steele
01:15:02
We have no money either, but if we have to take a small loan or line of credit to keep people safe and stay in business this year, it seems worth it. We’re hopeful that this is one year of break even (at best) among many decades of future (or past in some of your cases) profits.
Stacy Begin
01:15:04
We've had luck with WB Mason for masks, gloves, etc,.. For barriers, floor decals, etc...Logo Owl in Falmouth has been very helpful.
judi Boehm
01:17:23
Thank you for these guidelines for hotels etc great information
Jenn Libby
01:18:06
Are these cloth masks as currently required by the governors orders or paper in bulk?
rondi nelson
01:19:09
I can’t thank you all enough, you are providing us with the most clarity during all of this. THANK YOU!
Jane Bickford
01:20:03
Thank you Jennifer, Susan, Shannon and Greg!
Cindi Hooper
01:20:41
I am late to the party but has there been any suggestion of where to acquire safe distancing and other recommended signage. At Vistaprint I see floor decals only - all suggestions welcome!

"your money or your life?" ...perhaps is our new question in this climate? ...was a newspaper headline.
April Elaine Powell
01:21:40
Minute Man press in south Portland has a good program for signage and they are quick. Rich Bateman is your contact.
Caroline Cole
01:21:57
Thank you all for being there. Susan - that was really helpful
Maine Hotel Owner
01:22:12
Great advice on keeping reservations, Greg!
Audree Rackley
01:22:20
The 14-day quarantine- if someone is supposed to quarantine BEFORE checking into a hotel, but after they get to Maine, where are they supposed to go to actually quarantine?
Caroline Cole
01:22:46
what about the “breakfast” part of the bnb….? specific restrictions already defined?
Paula E
01:22:46
what is happening with the two week quarantine on out of state folks
Cindi Hooper
01:23:12
Thank you April!
Justin Steele
01:23:12
Audree, they are supposed to quarantine in their second home, essentially. That was an exemption because the alternative was ONLY Maine full time residents in June. July/August is our true “reopening” when it comes to out of state folks.
rondi nelson
01:23:18
Greg, July 1st is a Wednesday. Is their any thought to allowing reservations starting the prior weekend when weekly rentals usually begin? I am fully booked starting June 27 and making people arrive on July 1 would be rather ridiculous.
Samanthia Valente
01:24:22
Thank you for all your great advice, guidance encouragement
Stacy Cooper
01:24:38
thank you!
Audree Rackley
01:25:59
Justin, but the July/August still says 14 day quarantine (understanding that can change)
greg burke
01:26:07
Could they come stay in the room for just a 2 or 3 day stay?
Justin Steele
01:26:35
Audree, true - it is an option for July/August (depends on how everything is going..) but I’m hopeful by then we’ll have better options
Brandon Mazer
01:27:00
I have spoken to BABLO and their current position is that they will be extending liquor licenses the additional months that the pandemic affected the business. This is going to be applied to all licenses, so although no refunds a licensee might get 16 months for their 12 month fee.
Kathy Powell
01:28:18
So if we had a room with its own entrance to the exterior, could they stay for two week at the B&B, going only outside through their own entrance for the 14 days?
Robyn Deveney
01:28:43
No guidelines!!!
Robyn Deveney
01:29:13
still no guidelines for sporting camps.
Robyn Deveney
01:29:40
no checklist that is
Gwen Perry
01:31:02
gwenp@hospitalitymaine.com :)
Danielle Woerner
01:33:29
yes, would join a FB group for this.
Carlotta Girouard
01:33:52
Love the FB group idea!
Samanthia Valente
01:34:13
I understand that they are trying to replace the 14 day quarantine with required testing- seeing Gov Mill's broadcast yesterday- It sound like they possibly wouldn't be able to get the amount of test supplies that would be needed - do you have any thoughts of how they would be determining how many they would need to be ordering? Are they dealing with one company or multiple for supplies?
Danielle Woerner
01:34:49
Kathy Powell, we have the same kind of setup, including private point & beach for distanced recreation.
Mary Spurlock
01:34:49
Thank you
Robyn Deveney
01:34:50
to whom would a non-typical business submit a custom checklist? DECD or CDC?
rondi nelson
01:34:52
I set the group up, it’s private, 2020 Hosting in Maine.
Robyn Deveney
01:37:21
Lakeside cottages to be specific
Ted Hugger
01:37:37
Thank you...I really the effort you guys are making on our behalf!
rondi nelson
01:37:42
do we think 7 days quarantine in a rental cottage is ok - when they come to the cottage and go right home afterwards. we have so many weekly visitors in maine.
Aimee Liberty
01:38:03
Can you have coffee service in the lobby for guest or is it not recommended.
Danielle Woerner
01:38:46
We are thinking of offering grocery shopping for guests quarantining at our one-apartment home rental, dropping off groceries through a pass through or at their appointment front door.
Scott DeFelice
01:39:09
I had to step away for a moment. Has anyone asked about what to do with kitchen supplies in rooms so equipped (plates, glasses, mugs, utensils, etc)?
Danielle Woerner
01:39:33
Thanks!
Tim Allen
01:39:43
Scott, considering swapping out full sets of dishes etc on changeovers
Cat Hobson
01:39:44
No Keurig machines?
Beverlee Drury
01:40:06
Yes interested in FB group esp. interested in small bed and breakfast lodgings We have 9 rooms
Nancy Asante
01:40:23
Our rental condos have fully-equipped kitchens. Do we need to disinfect every spatula and soup bowl between guests?
Robert Gurry
01:40:29
im confused I thought that guests from out of state can come to Maine for less than 14 days as long as they follow quarantine guidelines for the length of their stay. so if they come for 3. 5. 7 days and quarantine, only go to outside spaces with mask, then return home
Kathy Powell
01:41:00
SO Keurigs in the rooms are okay to keep??
Ted Hugger
01:42:01
So Keurigs are ok in rooms, but not in the lobby?
Carlotta Girouard
01:42:02
What about those ones that use UV light to sterilize?
Carlotta Girouard
01:42:15

What about communal coffee in an airpot? Prepared by me.
greg burke
01:43:28
Well people will drive in for the DAY from out of state
greg burke
01:43:44
So why not stay 3 or 5 days?
patricia hamilton
01:43:45
We have a rustic cabin we rent through Airbnb - usually it is booked every night with a new family visiting our farm. are there standards for how to clean a wooden floor, rough wood walls and the bed? Is it Ok to simply change the sheets and pillow cases?

Samanthia Valente
01:45:00
We ordered the UV light wands to help with sanitizing - do you know if they are approved?
Justin Steele
01:45:40
Greg since no one is saying is explicitly.. your mic may be having an issue :)
Melody Kronenberg
01:45:59
Communal Keurig? Sorry to be a bother but I don't have individual one's in rooms
Nancy Clark
01:46:20
I researched the UV wands and found that they are not useful.
rondi nelson
01:46:23
i just ordered a non touch thermometer. :(
Nancy Clark
01:46:38
so did I Rondi.
Maine Hotel Owner
01:47:04
Thanks to the organizers, no disrespect to you, but if the 14-day quarantine is not lifted, this is like advice on reorganizing the deck chairs on the titanic. At least for most hotels. Keep pushing for that 14-day quarantine to be lifted or God help us all. Ultimately, Mills is not going to have a choice because the economic devastation will be catastrophic and much worse than covid. Good luck all.
Laura Legere
01:47:40
Do you suggest changing existing reservations so there is a buffer day between guests?
Scott DeFelice
01:47:40
Are we able to open swimming pools?
Ted Hugger
01:48:16
Great question, Scott!

Cindi Hooper
01:51:41
Res Nexus is suggesting triple sheeting to avoid cleaning comforters between the sheets - I am hearing you say that’s no okay?
Samanthia Valente
01:51:46
do you recommend opening windows as much as possible in hotel rooms to help circulate to bring in fresh air and possible encourage guest to?
Scott DeFelice
01:51:48
Regarding pillows, can we exchange antibacterial encasements instead of washing them each visit?
Caroline Cole
